Q. What was your approach when you did your research for the kitchen scene ? What were you trying to achieve.
A. As I said before, I wanted the renderings to resemble a cinematographic look and the same time have an "illustration" feeling. The light has alot of importance. For the kitchen I wanted to bring out the mysterious side of the fridge, and give a kind of child like atmosphere to the kitchen as a whole. In general I tend to do alot of test renderings in different styles, whilst keeping the same 3D rendering parameters.

Q. Tell us about your latest CG project ?
A. The next is a short film called "wake up", produced by Specimen in full 3D - 15 minutes using long photorealistic rendering. The story is about a futuristic war conflict, there are around 15 people working on it. Its a project that will take about 2 years ! I'm trying to set the level very high in terms of 3D techniques and rendering and to exceed myself !
Q. What are your hopes for the future ?
A. I want to move more and more towards film making. I'm just in the process of finishing my first 'live' film. Afterwards we'll see what happens...
Q. One final question - have you read any great books recently ?
A. I recently finished reading by barjavel which is excellent.
Thanks Thierry :)
