The Interview
Q. Hello Gilles, tell us a little about yourself ?
A. I'm 40, male, living in Paris, France. I've been drawing and painting
all my life, and I've been interested in 3D since the early 80s. I
started doing very primitive 3D images in the mid-80s, but started for
real in 1993 after finding POV-Ray in a book. Otherwise I'm an
engineer working for the animal feed industry, which is a very
different universe.
Q. Who are your mentors / heros in the world of 3D ?
A. Oh, lots of them... It's hard to pick up one or several particular
artists. I'm fond of art in general, "native" art, classical painting,
conceptual art, just name it. I'm a big movie buff too.
